Our History

VecchioRetrobottega was born in a small workshop in a Milanese courtyard, a place where passion for restoration and wood comes to life in a family environment. Here, the restoration of furniture and furnishings is not just a trade, but a way to give new life to unique pieces, each with a story to tell.

From a small workshop to a large industrial space on the outskirts of Milan

Vecchioretrobottega was born in a small workshop in a Milanese courtyard as an expression of a passion for restoration, wood, and the recovery of furniture and everything that had a story to tell.
After 20 years, this passion led to transforming this interest into a job and opening our Vecchioretrobottega, not without a good dose of fears and hopes.

After four years in a space in Cormano, we have now moved to our New Vecchioretrobottega in Paderno Dugnano.

We continue to search for and discover unique pieces with decades or hundreds of years behind them, passed through who knows which homes, shops, or factories.
Being able to recover and restore them, respecting the character that only the passage of years can give, is our way of respecting time and history.
Finding objects and furniture on our travels in Italy and Europe that, once they arrive in our workshop, will come back to life and regain their flavor and continue to live in your homes, is a unique privilege.

The small workshop in the courtyard is now a large industrial space on the outskirts of Milan, which we have furnished as if it were our home, where we are proud to welcome you.

Fabio

experience and tradition

Always passionate about antique furniture and restoration, I started this business with the desire to breathe new life into pieces that tell the story of design and craftsmanship. Every piece of furniture is a discovery and a challenge for me: understanding its origins, enhancing its details, and making it ready for a new home. My goal is to keep the tradition alive, sharing knowledge and passion for vintage furniture.

Research and Innovation

Having grown up around carpentry and antique markets, I quickly learned to appreciate the value of vintage furniture and design. Today, I'm responsible for sourcing new pieces, traveling throughout Europe to select original and high-quality furniture. I believe in the importance of uniting the past with the present, continuing the business with a keen eye on new trends and the needs of those seeking unique furniture for their home or workspace.
